The Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association is pleased to present the inaugural edition of the Philadelphia Estate Practitioner Handbook. This resource incorporates the "Register of Wills of Philadelphia County Manual," the Blue Book, and "Forms for Use Before the Register of Wills and Orphans' Court Division," the venerable Green Book, together in one volume.

The Section also intends to update and incorporate the content of the Red Book, "Practice and Procedure Before the Register of Wills and the Orphans' Court Division," into this single volume. Ultimately lawyers will come to rely upon this comprehensive resource incorporating the three colors of the earlier rainbow.

Thanks to the generous support of Wachovia Wealth Management the Section will distribute this material in traditional hard copy format and in an electronic format over the Internet – http://www.peph.com. The Section's ListServ will be used as the primary vehicle to update practitioners on the availability of new material. The Philadelphia Orphans' Court website – http://courts.phila.gov – is also continually being updated and improved as an information and forms resource for Orphans' Court lawyers.

Technological advances enable us to update and improve this volume on an as needed basis. Practitioners are encouraged to bring errors and suggested additions to the attention of the Chair of the Section's Rules and Practice Committee.
